Not only was I able to take part in the opening of the play, I was also invited to watch the show too! I don't think I could say enough good things about the story and the acting that I was so fortunate to have witnessed.
The story was based around a WWII veteran who returns to Juno Beach for the 60'th Anniversary of D-Day. Interestingly, Julia performed all of the characters, flipping back and forth so skillfully that you would have thought there were three people on stage at any given time! With very limited props and strong lighting, she was able to pull the audience into her story to bring a tear to the eye and then set us laughing out loud. Simply amazing!
I thought that this would be a fantastic opportunity to get some photos of my performance so I quickly looked for a photographer. Luckily Cynthia Bettencourt, a friend of my brother and a wonderful photographer was able to come out to capture the event. I'd like to thank her for the wonderful images she was able to capture. Be sure to visit her website to take a look at some of her other wonderful work.
Cheers,
